NIC men's basketball player selected SWAC player of the week
|photo1|North Idaho College men’s basketball player Frank Clair of Chicago, Ill., was selected as the Scenic West Athletic Conference Player of the Week for Nov. 27 through Dec. 4.
Clair, a 6-foot-6-inch sophomore from Chicago, Ill., scored a season high 28 points in a 86-69 victory against Columbia Basin College Nov. 29, going 9-of-14 from the floor and hitting 3-of-6 from 3-point range and adding 7-for-7 from the free-throw line.
Clair led the Cardinals to a 90-78 victory scoring 20 points making a season high 12-of-16 from the free-throw line during the Nov. 30 match up against the Community Colleges of Spokane.
In three NIC wins for the week, Clair averaged 22.0 points and 5.7 rebounds and added 6 steals. He shot 59.4 percent from the field (19-32) and was 22-for-28 at the free-throw line (.786).
The NIC men’s basketball team is 11-0 (1-0 SWAC) this season and is currently ranked 13th in the nation, according to a National Junior College Athletic Association poll released Dec. 6.For More Information
