Lake Chelan graduate signs with NIC women's basketball
Cassy Pilkinton, a senior at Lake Chelan High School in Chelan, Wash., has signed a letter of intent to play basketball for North Idaho College next season.
Pilkinton was named to the Washington State 2A all-state girls’ basketball team this year and averaged 17 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals for Chelan, which finished fourth at the state tournament.
Pilkinton is a McDonald’s High School all-American nominee and was named MVP of the Central Washington Athletic Conference in both volleyball and basketball.
“Cassy is going to give North Idaho College an excellent all-around basketball game and tremendous leadership”" said NIC Head Women’s Basketball Coach Chris Carlson, who was named as this year’s SWAC Coach of the Year. “We lose four all-league sophomores next year and Cassy should be able to contribute to our team immediately.”
