Evaluation team to visit NIC registered nursing program for accreditation
Representatives from the National League for Nursing Accreditation Commission will visit North Idaho College’s registered nursing program Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 to evaluate it for reaccreditation.
The NIC registered nursing program received a full eight-year accreditation, the maximum number of years awarded, in 1997, making it due for reaccreditation again this year.
The commission provides the opportunity for third-party comments from the staffs and people who have received services of agencies used as clinical sites for NIC nursing students. In addition, those who receive services from NIC registered nursing graduates are invited to comment on the program’s qualifications for continuing accreditation. Community members are welcome to attend a public comment session at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1 in the Driftwood Bay Room of NIC’s Edminster Student Union Building.
Written comments will also be accepted and will be read to the visiting members of the commission during their visit. Submit written and signed comments to NIC Health Professions and Nursing Director Lita Burns, North Idaho College, 1000 W. Garden Ave., Coeur d’Alene, ID, 83814.For More Information
