Awards presented for NIC's United Way Chili Cook-Off
North Idaho College wrapped up its 14th annual United Way Chili Cook-Off Nov. 3 as a fundraiser for United Way of Kootenai County.
A total of 10 teams participated in the chili cook-off dressing, decorating and creating chili concoctions to the theme “Superheroes and Heroines.”
More than 200 people attended the event, which was judged by NIC retirees Tim Rarick and Walt Carlson and United Way Executive Director Caryl Johnston.
NIC employees are still donating pledges to the fundraising drive, so final numbers have not been tabulated on the amount raised during this year’s fundraiser. That announcement will be made later this month.
