NIC soccer program to lead indoor soccer tournament

The North Idaho College men’s and women’s soccer teams and coaching staff will host an indoor soccer tournament Jan. 6 and 7 in NIC’s Christianson Gym.
The NIC Futsal Festival will be open to boys’ and girls’ teams in the under 11 and under 12 age groups. There is a maximum of 12 players per team.
Futsal is a type of indoor soccer that originated in Brazil and is ideal for small indoor spaces and skill development. The fast-paced game features five players on the field at one time, including a goalkeeper, and unlimited substitutions.
Teams will be guaranteed three matches in the tournament and champions will receive t-shirts.
Cost is $100 per team. Space is limited so teams are encouraged to register soon.
