NIC hires new human resources director
North Idaho College recently hired Wade Larson as its new human resources director. Larson has more than 11 years experience in human resources.
Larson holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Brigham Young University in Utah as well as a master’s degree in human resources and organizational development from Willamette University in Oregon. He is currently working toward a doctorate in organizational leadership from the University of Phoenix in Arizona.
Before joining NIC, Larson was the director of academic affairs at the University of Phoenix in Spokane. Since 1999, Larson has overseen the academic functions of the institution while teaching and performing the human resources function for more than 50 faculty members.
Larson also served as a senior human resources consultant from 2001 to 2005 in a self-owned consulting firm called Organizational Leadership Resources. In that role, Larson worked with more than 35 organizations on compensation, performance management, policy, training and strategic planning.
Larson has also worked as a senior human resources consultant at IEC Group, a consulting firm in Meridian, Idaho and as the human resources manager for Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue in Aloha, Ore.
“Wade brings a wide range of skills and knowledge to this position,” said NIC President Michael Burke.
Larson currently lives in Coeur d’Alene. He plans to start his new position March 12.For More Information
