2007 North Idaho Regional Spelling Bee Final Results



The 2007 Spelling Bee sponsored by the Hagadone Newspapers winners are 1st place Gabriel Cheeley a 7th grade home school student from Post Falls. His winning word was macramé after correcting Camille Awbrey’s spelling of elixir. Awbrey, a 7th grader from Valley View in the Boundary County School District took home 2nd place. Other finalist was 3rd place, Emily Vester an 8th grader at Wallace Jr/Str High School. In 4th place was Sara Owinyo of Boundary County Middle School.
Other contestants were tied for 5th place; Katie Capes 6th grade, Southside Elementary, Lake Pend Oreille. Kenzie Miller 8th grade, Canfield Middle School, Coeur d’Alene. Stephanie Wright 4th grade, Skyway Elementary, Coeur d’Alene.
Tied for 6th place; Tala Fehsel, 7th grade, Clark Fork Jr./Sr. High. Jennifer Kiesewetter, 8th grade, Holly Family Catholic School. Sara Pinkerton 8th grade Home School, Coeur d’Alene. Amanda Starr 4th grade, Lakeland, Spirit Lake Elementary. Easton Townsend 6th grade, Woodland Middle School, Coeur d’Alene.
Tied for 7th place; Ara Fromm 6th grade, Coeur d’Alene Christian. Emma Hancock 7th grade, Silver Valley Christian. Hayden Kraack 8th grade, Kootenai Jr./Sr. High.
Tied for 8th place: Danielle Collinson 4th grade, Prairie View Elementary, Post Falls. Samantha Katana 5th grade, Farmin-Stidwell Elementary, Lake Pend Oreille. Brennan Putman 7th grade, Lakeland Jr. High, Lakeland. Caleb Ratelle 7th grade Idaho Virtual Academy. Isaiah Sovereign 5th grade, Idaho Virtual Academy. Jamie Wright 7th grade, Woodland Middle School, Coeur d’Alene.
