NIC director of adult basic education earns national certification

North Idaho College Adult Basic Education/GED Director Rex Fairfield recently earned a national certification in adult education and literacy.

After two years in the Leadership Excellence Academy's intensive training program, Fairfield is now a certified manager in program improvement (CMPI).

Idaho is one of only nine states in which adult educators have achieved this national certification. It is offered through the Leadership Excellence Academy, which was developed by the National Adult Education Professional Development Consortium and ProLiteracy to support continuous improvement and high quality educational services for adult learners.
