Weekend full of NIC Cardinal Athletics

Volleyball team to participate in Region 18 tournament

NIC students can pick up free tickets for the Region 18 Scenic West Athletic Conference Women’s Volleyball Tournament Nov. 4-5 in Christianson Gym. Sponsored by the NIC Booster Club, the 300 tickets will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The tickets can be picked up in the equipment storage room to the immediate right as you enter Christianson Gym from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3.

No. 1-seeded NIC will take on the winner of the Snow College versus College of Eastern Utah match at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4. The championship game will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5. The top two teams from the regional tournament will be eligible to participate in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) national tournament Nov. 17-19 in Missouri. Go Cardinals!

 

Watch the NIC women's soccer team at districts

Watch the NIC women’s soccer team compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) District B playoffs via live streaming video and live stats Friday, Nov. 4 in Kansas. The Cardinals (14-1-1) will take on Butler County Community College at 1:30 p.m. (Pacific Time). Watch live at www.bluedragonsports.com/broadcast-and-media.

The top eight teams from various district championships will participate in the national tournament in Melbourne, Fla.

 

Men's soccer team competes in district playoffs in Arizona

The NIC men's soccer team (6-6-3) travels to Tucson, Ariz., to play the winner of Friday's match between Pima Community College and Northwest College at 2:30 p.m. (Pacific time) Saturday, Nov. 5. The winner will earn a spot in the NJCAA national tournament in Phoenix on Nov. 17.
