The North Idaho College Foundation Board of Directors recently announced several new members appointed to the 2011-2012 board.
The all-volunteer board of directors oversees the NIC Foundation, the college’s private fundraising division. The multimillion dollar foundation provides supplemental support to enhance the mission of the college and support NIC students, employees and programs.
“I joined the NIC Foundation because I wanted to help the education system,” said new board member Pat Clevenger, who works as a financial advisor with Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. “I strongly believe education helps people build the confidence and skills to be productive in society and our families. I know funding is always a concern to higher education and I’d like to be able to help those that share my value in planned giving along with strategic focus on day-to-day operations of the foundation.”
Other new board members include John Little, partner in the Savory Restaurant in Spokane; Jim Tippett, general manager of Bay Shore Systems; and Peter Smith, a principal at the law firm of Lukins & Annis, P.S. in Coeur d’Alene; and Troy Tymesen, finance director/treasurer for the City of Coeur d’Alene.
Other current NIC Foundation members include officers President Tim Komberec, Vice President Mark Fisher, Immediate Past-President David Wold, Secretary Priscilla Bell and Treasurer Michelle Schini Haneline and members Joseph Abate, Mic Armon, Jody Azevedo, CJ Buck, Jim Coleman, Brad Dugdale, James Eisses, Art Elliott, John Goedde, Ron Jacobson, Steve Meyer, Claudia Miewald, Ben Rolphe, C.
