North Idaho College women’s soccer player Alaina Webb was named to the National Junior College Athletic Association All-American second team following the 2011 season.
Webb, from Bozeman, Mont., was a freshman center-back in 2011. She anchored the Cardinals defense, starting every game for the team that finished the season 14-2-1. She was voted Defensive Player of the Year by her NIC teammates and has been nominated for a National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-American Award.
The 2011-2012 Cardinals women’s soccer team set NIC records for fewest goals allowed in a season (11) and most consecutive wins (11). The team also tied the 2002 NIC women’s soccer team for fewest losses in a season (2) and consecutive games without a loss (13).
