The North Idaho College men’s and women’s soccer programs are hosting the 2012 Cardinal Winter Blast futsal tournament for girls and boys ages under-11 to under-14 Jan. 21-22 and Jan. 28-29 in Christianson Gym. Futsal is five-person indoor soccer, which is played on a hard court surface where walls are not used.
The boys will play Jan. 21-22. On Jan. 21, the under-11 group will play from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and the under-12 group will play from 3 to 9:30 p.m. On Jan. 22, the under-13 group will play from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and the under-14 group will play from 3 to 9:30 p.m.
The girls will play Jan. 28-29. On Jan. 28, the under-13 group will play from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and the under-14 group will play from 3 to 9:30 p.m. On Jan. 29, the under-11 group will play from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and the under-12 group will play from 3 to 9:30 p.m.
The cost is $100 per team. Registration for the boys is due by Monday, Jan. 16 and registration for the girls is due Monday, Jan. 23. Information and registration forms are available online http://www.nicathletics.com/AthleticDepartment/CampsClinicsSpecialEvents.aspx.
