All job-seekers are invited to participate in the “Be Prepared to Get a Job” workshop offered from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 11 in the North Idaho College Edminster Student Union Building Lake Coeur d’Alene Room.
The workshop will focus on providing assistance with the soft skills necessary for getting a job in a competitive job market, such as interviewing, resume writing, computer skills, dressing for success, and utilizing community resources like Idaho career information and the Idaho Department of Labor.
The experiential workshop will be open for three hours on a drop-in basis, though, participants are asked to leave enough time to be interviewed and critiqued before visiting different professional stations for assistance.
Sponsored by North Idaho College and the Coeur d’Alene Chamber Education Committee, the workshop will count as a job search credit for individuals claiming unemployment insurance through the Idaho Department of Labor. Workshop participants will receive a certificate of completion.
The workshop is free and open to the public.
