The North Idaho College softball team’s 4-0 win over the College of Southern Nevada March 30 was a significant win. Not just because of fierce competition within the Scenic West Athletic Conference, but because the win marked the program’s 400th win.
“I have been a part of the program since it was established in 1998, and I know how hard we work every year,” Williams said. “Four hundred wins for the program is both a milestone and a major accomplishment for this year’s team.”
The matchup against College of Southern Nevada was meant to be played at home, but soggy conditions moved the game to Moses Lake. The Cardinals take to the road for the next two weekends against Snow College in Utah April 6-7 and against Western Nevada College April 13-14. The softball team hopes to be able to play at home on Memorial Field for the first time this season against the College of Southern Idaho April 20-21 for its first real home opener.
