Input will be sought during several open forums held the week of April 9 for the five finalists for the position of president at North Idaho College. The finalists were selected by a 22-member search committee comprising community, college and various stakeholder groups who evaluated the pool of candidates.
Three one-hour forums will be offered each day to allow students, staff, faculty and community members the flexibility to make it to one of the open forums. All forums will offer the opportunity to meet and ask questions of the candidates. Feedback is important to the selection process and feedback forms will be available. All forums will be held in the Edminster Student Union Building Lake Coeur d’Alene Room.
The one-hour open forums for Denise Yochum, who is the current president of Pierce College Fort Steilacoom in Lakewood, Wash., will be at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday, April 9.
The open forums for Joseph Dunlap, who currently serves as president of Spokane Community College, will be at 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 10.
The open forums for Nathan “Clark” Williams, who is currently the vice president of operations at Blue Mountain Community College in Pendleton, Ore., will be at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 11.
The open forums for Karin Hilgersom, who currently serves as vice president for instruction at Central Oregon Community College in Bend, Ore., will be at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Thursday, April 12.
The one-hour open forums for Jack Becherer, who currently serves as president of Rock Valley College in Rockford, Ill., will be at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Friday, April 13.
Those who would like to attend the open forums but cannot attend can participate in each forum live via web-conference hosted by the NIC eLearning and Outreach Department.
