New NIC president tours raffle house on his first day

Less than 600 tickets remain for the chance to win this year’s $250,000 grand prize home. Only 5,000 tickets are sold at $100 each. A $100 ticket gives a chance to own the three-bedroom, two-bath rancher-style home loaded with special features including a full, unfinished basement, granite counters, stainless steel appliances, gas fireplace, high efficiency heat pump, large covered patio and a fully landscaped lot.

Additional prizes include a $20,000 car, a $10,000 boat, a $3,500 travel package and a $2,000 shopping spree. Winners can apply cash value of these prizes to the purchase of their choice.

The drawing will be held July 11 at the Fort Sherman Park on NIC’s main campus. Winners do not have to be present at the drawing to win any of the major prizes.

Idaho residents can order tickets online at www.nic.edu/rbr or charge by phone to (208) 769-3271. Out-of-state residents need to purchase tickets at a North Idaho outlet since tickets cannot be mailed out of state. A list of North Idaho outlets can be found at www.nic.edu/rbr.

New NIC President Joe Dunlap checks out the entryway of this year’s Really BIG Raffle grand prize home during a tour of the house on his first day on the job Monday, July 2. Dunlap is taking over for NIC President Priscilla Bell, Ph.D., who is retiring after serving five years at NIC. The house was built by NIC carpentry students and is the largest annual fundraiser for the NIC Foundation. Proceeds from the Really BIG Raffle are used to fund scholarships, update classroom technology, support programs and encourage outstanding instruction at NIC.
