Sign-ups open for Coeur d'Alene Crossing Swim

Registration is now available for the second annual Coeur d’Alene Crossing. The 2.4-mile open water swimming charity event, scheduled for 8 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 18 on Lake Coeur d’Alene, will start at Arrow Point and finish at the Hagadone Event Center.

Proceeds from the fundraiser benefit three local not-for-profit organizations: the North Idaho College Booster Club, Union Gospel Mission CDA and the Coeur d’Alene Area Swim Team (CAST). The event was created with the support of the Coeur d’Alene Resort, Hagadone Marine Group, financial advisors Marcheso & Associates and the NIC Booster Club. Last year’s event attracted more than 130 swimmers. Participants of all ages are welcome. Swimmers will be transported to Arrow Point on a cruise boat and boarding will begin at 6:30 a.m.

Swimmers who register before July 31 only have to pay $55. The race is also looking for corporate and business sponsors. For additional information and registration for the event, visit
