Award-winning author to give reading Oct. 15

North Idaho College’s literary magazine Trestle Creek Review and the Writing Center are presenting a reading by author Nance Van Winckel from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15 at the Writing Center in the Lee Hall Annex on NIC’s main campus. The reading is free and open to the public.

Van Winckel is the author of six books, including “Boneland” and “Pacific Walkers.” Among many awards and honors, she’s received two National Endowment for the Arts poetry fellowships, a Pushcart Prize, and a Christopher Isherwood Fiction Fellowship. She teaches at the Vermont College of Fine Arts and is a Professor Emerita in the Masters of Fine Arts Writing program at Eastern Washington University.
