NIC to host historical presentation for Cardinal Connections

North Idaho College invites everyone to a free presentation “Fur Trade in our Region” from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23 in the Edminster Student Union Building Lake Coeur d’Alene Room.

Mark Weadick, a fur trade historian, will give the free presentation. This event is part of the annual NIC Cardinal Connections Symposium, which connects campus and community through shared learning about issues relevant to today’s world. The topic of this year’s events is “Stories of the Gathering Place.” The next presentation in the series will feature Fran Bahr speaking on how “The Story Continues,” on Oct. 30, followed by Quanah Matheson leading a discussion on “History of the Coeur d’Alene Tribe,” on Nov. 19.

The presentation is free and open to everyone.
