A wide variety of professionals and industry leaders will be on-hand to talk to students in the North Idaho College Edminster Student Union Building from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13.
Students and career explorers can come and go as they please and will receive a handout at the door telling them which professions are represented and how to locate them. All attendees have a chance to win a Lenovo Tablet by filling out a survey after they’ve visited with several of the professionals at the event. Participants can explore career options by talking with professionals in fields they’re considering as well as connecting face-to-face with a professional who is currently doing the job they would like to do.
The showcase is a collaboration with NIC and IdahoGOES, which is a consortium that includes NIC, the University of Idaho, Lewis-Clark State College, Idaho State University and Boise State University. IdahoGOES was created to provide residents and the community of North Idaho with options and resources available for sustainability.
The event is free and open to the public. More information is available at www.nic.edu/career
