Dancers wait to shine


Native American dancers from Plummer and Spokane are pictured waiting to dance as part of an exhibit in the plaza of the North Idaho College Edminster Student Union Building Monday, April 7. The dancing was just one of several events throughout American Indian Heritage Week being held this week April 7-12. For a complete schedule of the week’s activities, visit

The week of events is sponsored by the NIC American Indian Student Alliance, the Jacklin Arts and Cultural Center, Coeur d’Alene Charter Academy, and the NIC American Indian Studies program. With the exception of the inter-tribal feast and show, all events are free.
