Certificates of Insurance
When do I need a Certificate of Insurance?
If NIC classes, teams or clubs participate in or sponsor events at an off-campus location owned by a third party entity, NIC may be asked to provide a certificate of insurance. A certificate of insurance specifies NIC’s limits of liability insurance and names the entity as an additional insured, and is normally required to comply with the insurance clause terms for the event or activity agreement or contract. A copy of the agreement or contract should always be sent to the Resource Management office.
