MATERIALS TESTING AND INSPECTION FIRMS FOR
CAREER TECHNICAL EDUCATION BUILDING

North Idaho College is inviting all interested Construction Materials Testing and Inspection Firms to respond to this request for qualification (RFQ) for the NIC Career Technical Education Building located in Rathdrum, Idaho.  The deadline for submittal of qualification questionnaire is Friday, July 17th, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. PDT.

This scope consists of the construction materials testing and related reporting for an approximately 110,000 slab on
grade steel frame structure. At a minimum, candidates must be able to perform the following services: soil compaction reports, density testing of onsite soils, concrete quality control, concrete air entrainment data sampling,
special masonry inspection, detailed welding inspection, structural steel connections, bolting connections, fireproofing, asphalt paving and hydrocarbon contamination. The project is located in Rathdrum, Idaho.

Bids must be submitted with an earnest money payment in the amount of five (5) percent of the total bid by cashier’s check or money order, and the remainder of the total bid amount must be payable in the form of cashier’s check or money order at closing, which shall occur within thirty (30) days of acceptance of the bid by the College’s Board of Trustees.Unsuccessful bidders will have their checks returned immediately after the sale. Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud at the Driftwood Bay Room, 1000 West Garden Avenue, Coeur d’Alene at 3:00 p.m.on said date. All interested individuals are welcome to attend. Sealed bids will be received by North Idaho College at the Headwaters Complex, 701 W. River Avenue, (River Ave. at Military Dr.) Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, for the construction of the NORTH IDAHO COLLEGE CAREER  TECHNICAL EDUCATION BUILDING.

Sealed Bids must be received by 4:00 pm. on Thursday, July 9, 2015, and must be in a sealed envelope marked Sealed Bid – North Idaho College Career Technical Education Building. Bids received after this time will not be considered. Proposals will be opened and publicly read at 4:00 pm. on Thursday, July 9, 2015.

General contractors and subcontractors may obtain contract documents, hard copy or CD Rom, from Architects West, 210 E. Lakeside Avenue, Coeur d’Alene, ID 83814. General Contractors may obtain two (2) sets and subcontractors may obtain one (1) set. Plan deposits will be returned to actual General and Subcontractor bidders upon return of all contract documents; PROVIDED documents are returned in good, unmarked, and unmutilated condition within ten (10) days after the time set for receiving bids.

Hard copies may be obtained by depositing Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) per set plus a non-refundable fee
of $20.00 per set for handling to be submitted by separate checks. A CD Rom is available for non-refundable fee
