flipdog www.flipdog.com . This site combines postings from Usenet new-groups into a searchable database. Users can specify information that will assist in the search. This is a comprehensive career resource with daily job updates, employer profiles, discussion groups, and news articles.

careers.org www.careers.org . A comprehensive site for job information. It includes more than1300 career related sites including employers, new-groups, colleges, and governmental job sources.

careerbuilder www.careerbuilder.com .This database can be used by moving through job descriptions, companies, and location. It is a compilation of several major newspapers that are updated daily. There is also a career resources center with resume and interviewing advice.

Monster www.monster.com  The largest job site to “offer instant access to over 48,000 jobs in all fields as well as the chance to summit your resume”. It also provides employer profiles.

SkillsNET www.skillsnet.net . This is focused on occupational and industrial skills, activities, research and resources. The site is maintained by the American Training Standards Institute that was formed to support and enhance the emerging national skills infrastructure. Information on industry and occupational skill projects is also available.
