Merging Cells

Table cells can be merged either to the right or down. This is useful to show headings and different groupings. To do this:

  1. Place the cursor in the cell you want to merger
    1. Make sure the the cell is the top cell (for downward column merges) or
    2. Make sure the cell the is the left most cell (for rightward row merges)
  2. Select the row merge button (left) or the column merge button (right)

Add Row

  1. Place the cursor in a cell next to place you want to add a row
  2. Select the add row button (left inserts row above current cell, right inserts row below current cell)

 

Delete Row

  1. Place the cursor in any cell in the row you want to delete
  2. Select the delete row button

 Add Column

  1. Place the cursor in any cell next to place you want to add a column
  2. Select the insert column button (left inserts column to the left of the current cell, right inserts column to the right of the current cell.

  1. Place the cursor in any cell in the column that you want to remove
  2. Select the delete column button
