Call for Papers
North Idaho College in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho is hosting the second annual Northwest Undergraduate Conference in the Humanities on Saturday, November 4, 2017. The purpose of this conference is to give undergraduate students from around the region the opportunity to present their work in a public and professional academic setting. We invite submissions of original scholarship, including creative work, focusing on any area of the humanities including, but not limited to, the following disciplines: literature, creative writing, philosophy, ancient and modern languages, history, ethnic studies, religious studies, women’s studies, cultural studies, film and visual culture, and the fine arts. Presentations must take the form of 10-15 minute papers or readings (about 6 to 8 double-spaced pages). Submissions are due Friday, September 29, 2017.

Registration
The conference registration fee, which includes snacks throughout the day, lunch, and dinner, is $35 per person. The fee to attend just the dinner/keynote is $25 per person. (These fees also help cover the cost of publicity, facilities, and the keynote speaker.) The fee is payable online or by check made payable to North Idaho College and mailed to Nikole King, North Idaho College, English Department, 1000 W. Garden Ave., Coeur d’Alene, ID 83814.

We encourage participants to register and pay in advance, but payment will also be accepted at the conference during check-in. When registering online, guests will have the option to pay at the time of registration or to pay at the conference.
