HigherOne Disbursement
NIC is partnering with HigherOne, a financial services company that works with colleges across the country, to offer you more choices for how to receive your money.
A disbursement card, MyNIC card, will be mailed to all students that may be receiving financial aid disbursement funds. You will be required to use the card number to log into https://myniccard.higheroneaccount.com/ and select a preference to receive these funds. There are three offers to choose from; Easy Refund (the card) or ACH (direct deposited into your current bank account). The choice is yours but you must use the card to make it.
The most important thing is do not throw the card away!
Please be aware of the following:
- If the MyNIC card is specified, money will be transmitted and available later that business day.
- If direct deposit to a separate account from Higher One, money will be available within the next two to three business days.
- If being mailed a check, please allow up to one week to receive disbursement as funds are being mailed from the east coast.
