Employee Opinion Survey
Summary Results

January 2008

In January 2008, North Idaho College administered an Employee Opinion Survey (EOS) to assess the culture and climate of faculty and staff on several topics. Within the survey, 57 questions were asked within 6 general themes (i.e., work environment, job satisfaction, communication, leadership, rewards/recognition, and training/development). Of the approximate 750 eligible respondents, 392 employees completed the survey.

This report is an overview of the issues addressed in the responses within the survey. The general responses indicate the positive areas as well as those areas identified as needing attention.

The responses in the positive outcomes indicate the percentage of participants who responded with “agree” or “strongly agree”. In the areas that need improvement, the outcomes indicate the percentage of participants who responded with “disagree” or “strongly disagree”.

While additional information will be provided in the days/weeks to come, this report provides an overview of the top areas wherein NIC is doing well and the top priorities to be addressed as per employee responses.
