Paula Czirr - Manager
Paula Czirr Hello, I'm Paula Czirr, the Residence Life Manager. I'm originally from Superior, NE, but graduated from Peru State College, in Peru, NE. I've earned lots of years of experience in Residence Life. I really enjoy what Residence Life is all about. On the personal side, I really dig sports and competition of all types – I will stupidly accept MOST challenges given to me! I cheer for the Huskers on Saturday and the Steelers on Sunday. I am a huge fan of the College World Series - both baseball & softball, and have been known to sit and watch curling. I am totally thrilled when I can spend uninterrupted time with my family – spouse Ty, and the dogs - Harrison, Larry, Marshall & Crosby.

Resident Assistants

Tayler Coats - Senior Resident Assistant
Tayler Coats Senior Resident AssistantHello, I am Tayler Coats, your 18-19 Senior Resident Assistant. I am a communications major at NIC, with hopes to continue my education somewhere sunny! As a child, I moved a lot, but I consider my home to be Boise, Idaho. Fun fact- I went to four different high schools! I have quickly grown to love the Residence Hall and the opportunities that exist within this program. In my free time, I love to lay on the beach & soak up the sun! I really enjoy being in the water, watching movies, and making new friends! I have three brothers whom I adore. My two younger brothers are 11 and 19 years old- My older brother is also a student at NIC, so you will see him hangin’ out at the res hall with me! My favorite part of working as an RA last year was getting to know so many wonderful students, and I am stoked to be able to do the same this year!

Baylee Brown - Resident Assistant
Baylee BrownMy name is Baylee Brown. I am one of your Resident Assistants (RA) for first floor halls. For starters, let me tell you a little about myself. I am from Southern Idaho and I will be working on my second year of education here at North Idaho College. I am currently working towards a degree in Social Work and Criminal Justice, because I love to work with all different kinds of people and ages. For instance, I have been a Foster Care Advocate for almost four years now, and that is something I’m very passionate about. I like to play sports; I’ve played soccer, football, cheer, track, bowling, and basketball. I really enjoy drawing and acting in plays. I like to go on hikes, as well as going on adventures, longboarding, and to build things. I’m thrilled for this school year, and I am excited to meet you all. My intention is to get to know you and be there to help you have a smoothly upbringing towards your goals. Your well-being and safety is one of my top priorities. Feel free to come by my room or come to me if you have any questions or need anything at all.

Breanna Ellis - Resident Assistant
Breanna EllisHi everyone! My name is Breanna Ellis, everyone just calls me Bre, and this is my first year being an RA at NIC! I was born in Utah, but I call McCall, Idaho my home. I am at North Idaho College to get my Associates Degree in generals and hope that I find my dream career in the process. Once I am finished here, I am planning on moving to Pocatello to get my Bachelors at Idaho State University. Growing up in McCall has given me a great love and respect for nature, and I love to do anything outdoors, except for swimming (I hate swimming). Camping, hiking, chilling at the beach - sign me up! My family and my friends mean the world to me. I have one older brother who I love, and many pets back at home that I miss every day. I am definitely a dog person. My dream is to own a Blue Heeler someday. My favorite movie of all time is Talladega Nights. I am so excited for this year - let’s make it a great one!

Derrick Krioss - Resident Assistant
Derrick KroissHey, I’m Derrick Kroiss and I’m your resident’s assistant. I am here to help you guys kind of like a customer service desk. I am going to NIC for a criminal justice degree and when I’m not in school I work for the state of Washington fighting fire, then I’m going to work my way into Border Patrol. I’m from Northeast Washington. I am here to help you guys not hinder. So always feel free to ask to talk or just ask for help, maybe even just to see a lizard, so help me help you. Let’s have a great year!

Kiernan S. Robinson - Resident Assistant
Kiernan RobinsonYo (please forgive my antiquated greeting), my name is Kiernan S Robinson, and I’ll be your RA for the year! I’m a General Studies student majoring in Philosophy, and I’ve been at NIC now for about a year and a half. I was born in California and moved to Sandpoint, Idaho, where I lived for more than ten years before coming here to NIC. I love writing, reading, watching movies, and martial arts (Does this count as a personality? Who knows and who cares?).

My goal as your Resident Assistant is to provide an empathetic and engaging living/learning environment for all students here at the dorms. If you ever want/need to talk, you can reach me at (208)946-8184—you can also reach me by simply knocking on my door at the end of the hall. I look forward to this year and getting to know you all!

Lizzie Welker - Resident Assistant
Lizzie Welker Hello Friends! My name is Lizzie Welker and will be one of your RAs for this school year! This is my first year as an RA but will be my third year living in the dorms. I started going to school back in 2011 and it ended up not being a good fit for me at that time in my life, however life has pointed me back into the direction of schooling and I was able to get back to school last year and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made! I am now going to school for social work and will be wanting to be working specify with LGBT youth. I have spent a good chunk of my life in North Idaho and went to high school in Priest River. I have called CDA my home for the past 7 almost 8 years and absolutely love it! Some things that I really love are being in the outdoors (I spend my summers working for the Girl Scouts as an art teacher at our local summer camp), doing all kinds of art; including my favorite embroidery, working in technical theatre when I have the time, spending time with the people I love, watching my favorite movies and finding new music to listen to (so if you have any suggestions I would love to hear them!). I am so excited to be working with everyone this year and can’t wait to get to know you all! It’s going to be a really great year! If you need anything feel free to come on by!

Stephen Platt - Resident Assistant
Stephen PlattMy name is Stephen Platt and this will be my second year at NIC. I moved to Coeur d'Alene last summer from Bellingham, WA. However, I am originally from Utah. I spent 6 years in the navy, in a fun job that took me around the world. I learned a lot during that time about living and working well with others. I'm hoping I can take what I have learned and help students have the best transition possible as they continue their education. I have a very active lifestyle full of biking, lifting, skiing and wrestled for 10 years, as well. Feel free to come by my room with any issue, I am always willing to listen and help out.
