Orientation, Advising and Registration
Student OARS Leaders work to enhance the student experience here at North Idaho College, by assisting with orientation and retention of new students. In addition, OARS Leaders act as representatives of North Idaho College to help create a sense of community among students, employees and visitors. Leaders work to foster community engagement by maintaining connections with the students they serve during OARS.
Applications are due in the Spring of each year, students are selected to by a group their peers. Click here for a sample job description and OARS Leader Application.

OARS2 is available for all new Fall Semester 2013 students who attended the first OARS session. This 55-minute presentation provides you with additional information and resources for your academic success at North Idaho College. Attending an OARS2 session allows us to confirm your major and more accurately assign your Academic Advisor. Advisors will be assigned 7-10 days after you attend OARS2.
