North Idaho College Student Health Services are provided under contract by Heritage Health.

 

Heritage Health will provide Mobile Clinic Services, (clinic bus), at the NIC Main Campus several times each week, (clinic bus schedule will be posted on this site September 2017).  If students do not have health insurance, Heritage Health has sliding fee services available. 

Heritage Health Clinic Services

 

  • Primary health care
  • Health evaluations, treatment of minor injuries and acute health problems such as colds, flu, bladder infections, sprains, and strains.
  • STD evaluations and test, including HIV testing.
  • Preventative medical care including some immunizations, physicals and TB testing.
  • Procedures and cultures including blood and urine testing, pap smears, and pregnancy testing.
  • Reproductive health care and contraceptive services, including emergency contraception
  • Treatment for wart removal
  • Medical, surgical and dental referrals.
  • Lab testing.
  • Allergy desensitization injections
Student Health and Wellness Education Services

 

  • Health and wellness education and promotions to include tobacco cessation, drug and alcohol education, immunization awareness, heart health, and more. 
  • Vaccination Clinics to include an annual Flu Clinic
  • Women's health care information including abstinence and contraceptive choices
  • HIV/AIDS related issues including prevention, treatment and referrals.
  • Basic nutrition information.
