Purpose

To provide financial assistance to Native American undergraduate students.

Eligibility

 This program is open to Native American students interested in working on an undergraduate degree on a full-time basis.  

Applicants must:

  • submit documentation of financial need
  • a Certificated of Indian Blood showing at least one-quarter Indian blood
  • proof of tribal enrollment
  • an essay on their educational goals
  • 2 letters of recommendation
  • their most recent transcript. 

Selection is based on merit and need.

Financial data

 The stipend is $1,500

Duration

 1 year; recipients may reapply

Number awarded

 1 or more each year

 June of each year
