Purpose:

To provide financial assistance to Native American males who are attending or planning to attend a Tribal College or University (TCU).

Eligibility:

This program is open to male American Indians or Alaska Natives who are enrolled or planning to enroll full time at an eligible TCU. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and be able to demonstrate financial need. They must be willing to commit to mentoring other male students locally and encourage them to attend college. Along with their application, they must submit 1) short essays (up to 500 words each) on how they perceive themselves as leaders in their school or community and how their education will help the Native American community; and 2) a personal statement of 1,000 words that includes their personal background, their academic background, their educational and career goals, and how this scholarship will help them achieve those goals.

Financial Data:

The stipend is $2,000.
