To provide financial assistance to Native American and other minority high school seniors and undergraduate students who excel at golf.
This program is open to graduating high school seniors and current undergraduate students who are members of minority groups (African American, Asian/Pacific Islander, Hispanic, or American Indian/Alaskan Native).
Applicants must submit a 500-word essay on this question:
"One of the principal goals of education and golf is fostering ways for people to respect and get along with individuals who think, dress, look, and act differently. How might you make this goal a reality?"
Selection is based on:
- academic achievement
- personal recommendations
- participation in golf
- school and community activities
- and financial need
Stipends range from 1-time awards of $1,000 to 4-year awards of $6,000 per year. Funds are paid directly to the recipient's college.

This program was established in 1984 as the National Minority Junior Gold Association Scholarship and given its current name in 2006. Support is provided by the Jackie Robinson Foundation, PGA of America, Anheuser-Busch, the Tiger Woods Foundation, and other cooperating organizations.
