Purpose
To provide financial assistance to Native American and other minority students working on an undergraduate degree in an environmental or engineering field.
Eligibility
This program is open to members of minority groups:
- African Americans
- Hispanic
- Asians
- Pacific Islanders
- Native Americans
- Alaska Natives
who are full-time students in their junior year at an accredited 4-year college or university.
Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and declared major in:
- civil
- chemical
- or environmental engineering
- or an environmental science (e.g., biology, ecology, geology, hydrogeology, industrial hygiene, toxicology).
Along with their application, they must submit an essay (up to 250 words) on why their future career goals are in environmental science. They must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and available to participate in a summer internship at a Brown and Caldwell office. Financial need is not considered in the selection process.

Additional information
As part of the paid summer internship at a Brown and Caldwell office at 1 or more than 40 cities in the country, the program provides a mentor to guide the intern through the company's information and communications resources.
