Purpose
To provide financial assistance to undergraduate or graduate students, especially Native Hawaiians, who are working on research or a degree related to Hawaiian arts and crafts.
Eligibility
This program is open to students working full time on a n undergraduate or graduate degree related to the creation of crafts, art, and photography and/or independent research relating to historical Hawaiian crafts and arts. Financial need is considered in the selection process. Residency in Hawaii is not required. Preference is given to Native Hawaiians (descendants of the aboriginal inhabitants of the Hawaiian Islands prior to 1778).
