Purpose

To provide financial assistance to members of the Chickasaw Nation who are working on an undergraduate or graduate degree at a school in any state.

Eligibility

This program is open to members of the Chickasaw Nation who are working full or part time on an undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral degree at an accredited college or university in any state.  Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Financial Data

Stipends depend on the level of academic study, the number of units the recipients are taking, and their GPA.  The range is from $150 per semester (for part-time freshmen and sophomores with a GPA of 3.0 to 3.49) to $550 per semester (for full-time graduate students with a GPA of 4.0).

Duration

1 semester; recipients may reapply.

Varies each year.

Deadline

January of each year for spring semester; June of each year for summer semester; August of each year for fall semester for continuing students;  March of each year for high school seniors.
