Purpose

To provide financial assistance to needy members of the Chickasaw Nation who are  working on an undergraduate or graduate degree at a school in any state.

Eligibility

This program is open to members of the Chickasaw Nation who are working full or part time on an undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral degree at an accredited college or university in an state.  Applicants must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.  They may be attending a community cllege, regional college or university, or research university.

Financial Data

For full-time undergraduates, stipends are $1,200 per semester at community colleges, $1,500 per semester at regional colleges and universities, or $2,400 per semester at research universities.  For full-time graduate students, stipends are $2,400 per semester.  For full-time doctoral students, stipends are $3,000 per semester.  For part-time undergraduates, stipends are $100 per credit hour at community colleges, $125 per credit hour at regional colleges and universities, or $200 per credit hour at research universities.  For par-time graduate students, stipends are $200 per credit hour at regional colleges and universities or $250 per credit hour at research universities.  For part-time doctoral students, stipends are $250 per credit hour.

1 semester; recipients may reapply.

January of each year for spring semester; June of each year for summer semester; August of each year for fall semester for continuing students;  March of each year for high school senior.
