Purpose

To provide financial assistance to need Native Americans in Florida or Georgia who are interested in  obtaining additional education or training.

Eligibility

Unemployed, underemployed, or economically disadvantaged Native Americans (Native Hawaiians, Alaskan natives, American Indians) are eligible to apply for this support.  The Florida Governor's Council on Indian Affairs provides this service for 63 of the 67 counties in Florida and all of the state of Georgia.

Financial data

Tuition and other services are offered to recipients.

Duration

Up to 1 year

Additional information

Funds may be used for a vocational/technical degree, an A.A. or associate degree, GED preparation, or adult education.
