Purpose

To provide financial assistance for vocational training to Assiniboine and Sioux members of the Fort Peck Assiniboine and Sioux Tribe between 17 and 35 years of age.  Applicants  must have a high school diploma or GED, be actively pursuing a certificate of completion in an adult vocational training program, and be able to demonstrate expectation of employment. 

Along with their application, they must submit: 

  • a copy of their high school diploma or GED
  • Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood
  • evidence of financial need

if relevant:

  • a marriage license
  • birth cerificates for all family memebers claimed as financial dependents
  • military discharge papers

First priority is given to continuing students who are enrolled tribal members living on or near Fort Peck Reservation, second to first-time applicants who are enrolled tribal members living on or near the reservation, thrid to enrolled tribal members of other federally-recognized tribes.
