 Purpose

To provide financial assistance to undergraduate students, especially those of Hawaiian descent, who are attending college in any state.

Eligibility

This program is open to undergraduate students who are enrolled full time at an accredited college or university in any state.  Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and be able to demonstrate financial need.  Along with their application, they must submit an essay on what they consider the biggest problem in Hawaii and potential solutions.  Residence in Hawaii is not required.  Preference is given to Native Hawaiians (descendants of the aboriginal inhabitants of the Hawaiian Islands prior to 1778).
