Purpose 

To provide financial assistance to Native Americans students from an state who are attending a Tribal College or University (TCU) in Minnesota or New Mexico.

Eligibility 

This program is open to American Indians and Alaska Natives from and state who are enrolled full time at an eligible TCU in Minnesota or New Mexico. Applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher and be able to demonstrate financial need.

Along with their application, they must submit

  • 1) short essays (up to 500 words each) on how they perceive themselves as leaders in their school or community and how their education will help the Native American community
  • 2) a personal statement of 1,000 words that includes their personal background, their academic background, their educational and career goals, and how this scholarship will help them achieve those goals.

Financial data 

The stipend is $2.000.

Duration 

1 year.
