Purpose

To provide financial assistance to Ho-Chunk undergraduate or graduate students who wish to continue their post-secondary studies during the summer.

Eligibility

Applicants must be

  • enrolled members of the Ho-Chunk Nation
  • have been accepted at an accredited public vocational or technical school, college, or university in the United States in an undergraduate or graduate program
  • and be interested in attending summer school on a full-time basis.

Financial data

This program pays up to

  • up to $2,500 to undergraduate recipients
  • up to $5,000 to graduate school recipients
Funds must be used for tuition, fees, or books. Funds are paid directly to the recipient's school.

Duration

Summer months. May be renewed for a total of 6 summers of support.

Additional information

Undergraduate recipients must earn a GPA of 2.0 or higher in the summer classes; graduate school recipients must earn 3.0 or higher.

Number awarded

Varies each year.

Deadline

The priority deadline is the end of April of each year.
