Purpose

To recognize and reward Ho-Chunk students who received financial assistance from the tribe and are now graduating with an undergraduate or graduate degree.

Eligibility

Applicants must be enrolled in the Ho-Chunk nation and have received financial assistance from the tribe to work on a post-secondary degree.  Funds are paid to these students when they complete any of the following degrees:

  • 1-year certificate or diploma
  • associate degree (2 year)
  • bachelor's degree (4 year)
  • master's professional degree 
  • J.D. degree
  • doctoral degree

Financial data

Awards are 

  • $300 for a 1 year certificate or degree
  • $750 for an associate degree
  • $1,000 for a bachelor's degree
  • $3,000 for a master's or professional degree
  • $4,000 for a J.D. degree
  • $5,000 for a doctoral degree

Duration

Students are eligible for only 1 award per degree
