Purpose

To provide financial assistance to students of Hopi ancestry who are working on

  • an undergraduate degree
  • graduate degree
  • post-graduate degree

Eligibility

This program is open to students who are working on

  • an associate degree
  • baccalaureate degree
  • graduate degree
  • postgraduate degree

Applicants must be an enrolled member of the Hopi Tribe. They must be pursuing a post-secondary degree for at least 1 of the following reasons:

  • personal growth
  • career enhancement
  • career change
  • and /or continuing education.

Both full- and part-time students may apply. Financial need is not required, but students must have applied for federal aid before applying for the award.

Financial data

The scholarship covers the cost of tuition, fees, and books.

Duration

1 year; may be renewed if the recipient maintains a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.

Number awarded

Varies each year.

Deadline

  • June of each year for fall or winter term
  • November of each year for spring term
  • March of each year for summer session
