Purpose - To provide financial assistance to American Indians from Wisconsin who are studying or planning to study criminal justice or social welfare at a college in any state.


This program is open to Wisconsin residents who are American Indians by tribal enrollment or descendancy (having 1 or more ancestors who are tribally enrolled). Applicants must be accepted or in good standing at an institution of higher education in any state and majoring in criminal justice or social welfare.

They must submit a 1-page statement 


      • describing their educational goals
      • the reasons they feel they should receive the scholarship
      • their community service
      • and any special needs. 


Preference is given to applicants who have provided service to the Indian community and have not previously received a scholarship.

Financial data

The stipend is $1,000.
