Purpose

To provide financial assistance to undergraduate students, especially those of Hawaiian descent, preparing for a career in education.

Eligibility

This program is open to students working full or part time on an undergraduate degree in education.

Applicants must submit

 

      • an essay on their commitment to education and how they would use the scholarship funds for educational costs
      • letters of recommendation, especially from their prior and prospective employers in the Hawaiian community. 

 

Residency in Hawaii is not required.

Preference is given to Native Hawaiians (descendants of the aboriginal inhabitants of the Hawaiian Islands prior to 1778).
