Purpose

To provide financial assistance to members of the Seneca Nation of Indians who are interested in studying nursing in college.

Eligibility

This program is open to enrolled Seneca Indians interested in preparing for a career in nursing. Both high school seniors and students already enrolled in college are eligible.

Applicants must submit

 

      • a certificate of tribal affiliation
      • letter of acceptance from the college
      • transcript
      • and personal letter describing their need and the proposed use of the funds

 

Financial data

The stipend is $1,000 per year. Funds are paid directly to the college financial aid office to be used for tuition or such course-related expenses as laboratory fees or books.
