Purpose - To provide financial assistance to members of the Sault Tribe of Chippewa Indians interested in attending college to work on a degree in human services or social work.

Eligibility - This program is open to enrolled members of the Sault Tribe who have been accepted at or are attending a 2-year or 4-year college or university. Applicants must be working on or planning to work on an undergraduate degree in human services or social work. Along with their application, they must submit an essay of 300 to 500 words on how their education will benefit them and why they should receive the scholarship.

Financial data - The stipend is $1,000 per year.

Duration - 1 year.

Number awarded - 1 each year.

Deadline - May of each year.
