TRIO-Student Support Services
Director Sally hinders gave a brief explanation of the work that is done in her department. They provide services to students who fit the strict guidelines set by the Department of Education. These students include low-income students, first generation college students, and disabled students. The program serves to provide resources to these students to help them to success in college. They are grant funded with a $250,000 grant. The department includes Sally Hinders (Director), Becky Shaffer (Advisor/Math Instructor), Holly Edwards (Advisor), and Robin McLeod (Sr. Administrative Assistant).
Guest Speaker
Rolly Jurgens updated staff on the budget situation for the rest of this fiscal year and possible budget situation for the upcoming fiscal year.

Senate – Nancy Edwards
• Discussed the possibility of a Professional Development Day for the entire campus, which involves shutting campus down
• Removal of the Sick Leave Bank is on schedule for next meeting on January 22, 2009.
